Luc-Chopin2 - first Polish coronary DES with paclitaxel was created as the result of many years of laboratory and clinical tests.
Unique Luc-Chopin2 stent coating technology, developed by the company Balton, enables to obtain the most flexible layer of biodegradable polymer, paclitaxel carrier - the substance having antiproliferating effect.
The polymer layers release paclitaxel in time-controlled process of their slow biodegradation (lasting ca 8 weeks), inhibiting neointime formation process.
Preclinical and clinical trials, carried out many medical centers in Poland and in the world, proved reliability, security and effectiveness of the Luc-Chopin2 stent.
