Between 5th and 6th of June 2009 there was XVI International Cardiology Conference, X Anniversary Schoolar’s Workshops of Interventional Cardiology at the area of Multicinema in Zabrze.
The organizational committee of this conference was the III Cathedral and the Clinical Ward of Cardiology SUM, Silesian Centre of Heard Diseases in Zabrze under the lead of prof Lech Polanski, prof Mariana Zembali, prof. Mariusz Gasiora, prof Zbigniew Kalarusa.
The leading subject during the conference were the adventages in recognizing and treatment of heart diseases, the diseases of lungs and vascular diseases as well as the acute coronal syndromes. On the forum there were discussed also the subjects connected with the transcatheter treatment of congenial and acquired heart diseases, auricular fibrilation, cardiological geriatic and arteriosclerosis  of peripheral arteries. Some new event at the conference of this year, there were the didactic sessions for family physicians.
Our company was again invited to take a part in the conference and to present its offer.
The conference was divided into several parts:
-the exhibition of medical device
-scholary sesions
-the broadcasting of the medical procedures by satellite communication

The biggest producers of medical equipment and pharmaceutical manufacturers presented their products inside the exhibition halls. The booth of Balton company was taken with a great concern. We presented very rich offer of medical equipment from the field of cardiology, therein : stents, guide wires, catheters and also our newest products” THE BALLOON FOR ENDOARTIAL COUNTERPULSATION” and “ EVEROLIMUS ELUTING CORONARY STENT”
There was a honorary lecture guided by professor Marian Zebala dedicated to professor Zbigniew Religa as the pioneer of the heart transplantation and mechanical support of circulation in Poland, his lecture was the initiation of the lectures with the contribution of many outstanding specialists from the field of cardiology.
The session of Balton company was begun with the lecture of professor and reader doctor of medical science Robert J. Gil from the Clinic of Interventional Cardiology CSK MSWiA in Warsaw as well as reader doctor of medical science Andrzej Lekston from Silesion Centre of Heart Diseases in Zabrze.
During the session the lectures were also delivered by:
- doctor of medical sciences Krzysztof Wilczek from Silesion Centre of Heart Diseases in Zabrze, the subject of his lecture was “ The artial valvuoplasty with balloon in the cases of patients with a very tight narrowing of valve”,
- doctor of medical sciences Wojciech Jachec, the director of Haemodynamic Laboratory of Secondary Health Care Hospital in Zabrze, the subject of his lecture was “ Endoartial Counterpulsation – application”
- reader doctor of medical sciences Jaroslaw Wojcik, the director of Haemodynamic Laboratory of Cardiology Clinic of Medical Academy in Lublin, his subject was “ The stenting of renal arteries – is DES resolving the problem?”
- reader doctor of medical sciences Wojciech Wojakowski from Upsilesion Medical Centre in Katowice with the subject of “
Our session has a great applause among the participants. The attendancy during the lectures was of 100 procent. Reader doctor of medical sciences Andrzej Lekston highlighted the meaning and the participation of our products in treating acute coronary syndroms for many times.
The next stage was the broadcasting of medical procedures conducted in the haemodinamic laboratory of Silesien Centre of Heart Diseases in Zabrze by satellite communication.
During the procedures we could see our new Everolimus eluting stents Carlo successfuly implanted in patients. The implantation was conducted by doctor M Hawranek (SCCS Zabrze ), dr M. Tajstra ( SCCS Zabrze), dr D. Olszowski (Sccs Zabrze), dr W. Religa ( Łodz) .

Our participation in the conference was very high valued by prof Lech Polonski.
Prof Marian Zebala complimented us for our current achievements, wishing such a dynamic development for further. Again we proved, that our company has the leading place among the world medical producers.
